I would check the spreadsheets to see how others are progressing...

I'm worried because its out of ordinary. But I don't want to be pessimistic. Hoping its a positive DM.

After I submitted my application last August 2014 and re-submitted Updated forms Sept 2014, I never heard anything regarding my application, that time majority applicants in August2014 batch was receiving AOR and SA. From then on every month-end of Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, I'm calling CIC to get any updates but they cannot find any of my records, agent can't tell me anything, I was asking if they received the updated form at least or not. But CIC keep telling me that "No Input" yet and told me to wait.

After 6months and 3weeks I got what I'm waiting for. I received my AOR,SA,DM in one day! I was expecting after SA stage I will wait for few weeks then my status will be in-process. And another few weeks for PPR like a regular common applicants but for some reason it goes direct to Decision Made Status.

Hi everyone, a few weeks ago there were some issues with the August 2014 applications tracking spreadsheet. It seems to me opening again but all the details seem mis-sorted.

Here is the copy that was made a few weeks ago, unless someone knows how to fix the other sheet?

Have a great night!

No movement in Ottawa for the last 2 months. What a nightmare.

Actually, nishra got DM from Ottawa about two weeks ago and a few people have had requests for additional documents in Feb. Nothing major, I agree, but at least it's not at a standstill...

we have had no update on ECAS, its been almost 2 months since PPR, then today on ECAS they added my wife's home address online as before was just listed mailing address of agency we used. Not sure if it means they have open file again or if its meaningless. I hope any change means something is happening

Total speculation disclaimer:

It seems to me that Ottawa is being used for political fixes, rather that just a straight case processing centre. I'm just wildly guessing with no evidence, but I wonder if the stories that appeared in the national media a few months back about the horrible Inland wait times/lack of work permits caused them to shift a lot of resources from Ottawa to those issues. As well, it seems when foreign VOs get behind, they shift some of the work to Ottawa, at the expense to those of us who actually apply to Ottawa.

At this point, the best we can hope for is that those other issues normalize and they can get back to processing our applications. This is really disappointing to see this process stretching on for US applicants, whereas some applicants from other parts of the world are getting very fast approvals.

might i suggest actually reading the ottawa spreadsheet and looking at the trends from 2013 applicants from the same time as yourself? i'm pretty sure you'll see this is quite "normal", and based what the spreadsheet shows, my guess is that we will start seeing movement again in ottawa mid-late march. of course only time will tell whether this is the "trend" or is something else is going on. processing times are known to go up and down. in the grand scheme of things only a small percentage actually saw a processing time less than 6 months. i think it's pretty important to note that the processing time for ottawa didn't drop below 200 days until march/april 2014 applicants. it is easy to see september 2013 - feb 2014 applicants had at least an 8 month "average". and i can tell you from experience, those of us who were approved quickly certainly were not expecting it. when i applied in march 2014, the "average" was 8-10 months, and that is what we thought we would be facing.

I'm with you! I hate seeing "application received" each time I check. Wish it would at least change to "in process". Application received isn't even a "status" under their definitions!

I'm still trying to figure out if I need to report to the VO my new status in Canada as TRV and if I get a new expiry date on my passport? Anyone have thoughts?

Got a message on Feb 20 asking for FBI Clearance. Had sent it in October 6th as soon as we'd received it from FBI directly (file was in Mississisauga at the time). called back the next day and was told, "this is why you should wait until we ask fro things before you send them in, so things like this don't happen". SO hung up fairly frustrated and ready to start that police clearance stage again. On February 24th I received a DM from Ottawa CPC saying "please disregard the message, turns out we had it all along". So now case is "in process" on ECAS. A bit of a speed bump, but at least it's moving along. Hope everyone else is holding up OK with these crazy wait times.

We're also extra anxious as we had a baby Januray 13th and were told that there wa sa chance we could have paperwork held off 3 months max before filing, in an effort to hopefully have approval by then, and have medical expenses for my wife covered. Starting to look like that may not happen.

Good luck everyone.

On my ECAS they added my current home address today as well, the status is still application recieved. No idea what that means but hoping that someone looked at our file

When did Nishra Apply?

Application was received on 30/06/2014, SA on 22/08/2014. Still a relatively long process compared to, say, Mississauga VO, but it's movement!

When I checked this morning I also had the same thing in my ECAS. Hopefully it means some flipping movement but you never know... March marks the 7 month mark so here's to hoping we all hear something soon... Good luck!

Hi everyone, My husbands eCAS was also updated this week with an address change and a change of status from "received" to "in process". The next day, after the update, we were pleasantly surprised to hear that PR file was completed and a decision was made. He has been asked to come to the embassy to receive the visa.

It sounds like things are really moving now. Congrats everyone!

Big and I have different VO no movement for us yet.. but it is great to see at least other VOs move.

Anyone receive any updates
