CIC just asked for my country of residence for past 6 months, any one has any idea why they are asking about my country of residence for past 6 months?

This is the first notification CIC has sent me in past 1+ year after my AOR.

Could it be to ask for relevant police certificate? Did you move during yur application timeline?

I did provide :)

Anyone any thoughts on this?

This is what I received:

Dear applicant,

Please provide us with your country of residence for the last six months.

I am guessing since my MR are expiring (i did advance medicals) , they wanted to extend my MR and they asked this info? This has been the only communication from CIC till now.

how come u did advanced medical under cec ??? ???. I doubt they will honor it. I have read somewhere on cic website that advanced medical are only for certain family class applicants and cec applicants have to wait for cic to request for it :P so it is very likely that they might delay u due to that and u have to do another medical. btw, did u order for ur gcms notes yet?

No you can do advance medicals in CEC as well.
CPP-O even confirm receipt of my medicals. So I am just wondering why CIC sent that email ? They are not even replying to my emails :(.

See below

My friend also did advance medicals and he is already a PR now. I know many people on this forum who have done advance medicals and is legally allowed. This is for CEC category only.

I know that this is cec category and that's why i am telling u this. for sure cic will ask u to do another medical in future if ur eligible for cec. They will not take the old one or upfront :P

Ujbaby - We can do advance medicals for "CEC" also. The only risk associated to advance medicals is expiry(in 1 year) but they also can be extended by CIC (which can take up to 2 months for extension.) This 2 month processing time is from my research on various forums.

Read this for extension process.

Just FYI :)
Today a line has been added to my ecas.
Medical results have been received.

AND I NEVER RECEIVED MEDICAL REQUEST.

I don't know about the link u just pasted here because it wont open. i am only following the instructions on the cic website and that's how i came to get this information about advanced medical only for family class category. i previously attached the link to u as well and i believed u opened and read it so i don't know why ur still arguing. They might have received ur medical but that doesn't change the rule or doesn't mean that they will not request for another medical from u. u only wait till u get ppr b4 concluding :P :P. u might as well be asked to get another police clearance from back home as ur application has passed over a year. it just happened to one of August 2012 applicant so you might not be exceptional..
