I knew this was going to happen.

Medical appointment is for 5th september. please change the name of this thread to August & September. I've gotten so comfortable here.

but seriously, I think I could use the time to properly tie up the loose ends on the rest of the application.

I hear you, syedgj! I finally got my FBI certificate last Friday after 2 months waiting, but I'm still waiting for my ontario marriage certificate. Their website keeps telling me that it'll take about 10 weeks! Which would bring me to end aug/early sept. I feel really really ready to send out my application and really really want to be a part of this thread.

Not to rain on your parade but DHL finally delivered my new forms to hubby. Even though it had tracking number et all they couldn't find it when he went to their processing centre in Richmond. It was sent end of July, thank god they sort it out and find them translations and new forms as I am close to giving up and get him to move here instead....don't think I can take another hurdle (meds check screw up by doc, police check pain the ass process etc....)

Essex you can put me up for the original target date of 15th August 2011 submission hip hip hoorrrraaayy

Yeah it's a long story, involves my **** lawyer but I decided now to do it myself, and basically I had to redo the forms (new ones came out),medicals and police certificate because all I had was copies and I sent originals with my first application. The thing that pisses me off is that I lost good couple of months for nothing, thinking that at least my application was received..I was wrong..But here I go again, head up and continue the battle.

The thing is first time my wife sent it, she sent it with canada post and lost the receipt with the tracking number. So we never got to know for sure if the package arrived, and last time we talked to a nice agent on the phone, that's when he told us they never got anything from us. Well at least this time I have my receipt and tracking number, let's hope it works!

My mail was kept on hold by Canada post today.. they could not verify the address of CPC Mississauga...

So I had to verify that and now it will take a couple of days more to be delivered..

So Express post next day mail ( claimed by Canada post) is going to be night mare for me..

When I called them they said that address could not be verified and I had to give them the address again. So they ll initiate the process now which will take 2-3 days as per the representative.

I hope they do not lose my application any where..

I have always had bad service with Canada Post (Express etc), I guess I will use another courier, even if more expensive. I was even thinking of delivering the package myself as I do not leave too far, but maybe it is safer to use a courier.

Anyone heard of hand-delivering the package at the courier drop-off location? Can this be done?

I'm pretty sure it says that you can't do public drop offs at the courier address, haven't seen anything that says you cant hand deliver to the po box.
