August 2011 applicants lets get the waiting game started :)

Ecas has our application recieved Aug25, 2011. I was approved as a sponsor Nov 2, 2011. And my husbands application started processing March 1, 2012. The wait times info says 17 months for bogota, does anyone know if that is starting from when the application is received or when they start processing my husbands part of the application?

The time starts when you visa office Bogota receives your file after sponsorship approval from CPC-M.
 
bummer, guess that means we have a good year more of waiting! my son isn't going to know who his father is by the time he gets here!

I am in the same situation as you...my baby is 3 months old now and I don't know when I will get some update...my status is still showing Application Received...this is very sad..:( :(
 
You would think that they would take into consideration how the process affects the small children. I will keep my fingers crossed for the both of us!
 
I don't think they will have any consideration..anyway best luck all of us who are still in this waiting game!!
 
i think we picked an off month august 2011 seems to be a slow month to work on for immagration no matter where your migrating from ....my ecas also says "application recived august 23, 2011" and thats all it has said for the last 11 months with no other updates

My timeline is same as you...I'm agree August is a slow month for anything...most peole are on vacation or holidays.
 
Hi everyone, my husbands medicals are about to expire, I asked our VO through email if he should renew them, but no answer till now. What about you guys?
 
Hey everyone, I sent my application to sponsor my husband on August 12, 2011 to Bogota, Colombia. I was approved as a sponsor on October 19, 2011, at which time they began to process his PR application. August 15, 2012 he received an email asking for his passport which we sent in last week. Now we are just waiting to get his passport back with the PR Visa! I'll keep you guys posted ;)
 
We are still waiting. Applied august 18, 2011. We were requested to send a new medical exam, birth certificate, criminal record check and passport. Documents were sent off 2 weeks ago. Haven't heard anything new from the embassy, but have our fingers crossed that this process is soon over.
 
I GOT PPR SEPT,13TH.

Whats funny, I applied on Sept 13,2011, and got PPR Sept,13,2012....
