Hello Guys!

I am an August applicant too. I made an outland to buffalo, and they transfered my file to NY on jan 17. They requested for the RPRF fee. I didnt know about this RPRF fee before otherwise I would have paid for it earlier on. I learned just a day before apparently you can pay this fee beforehand and if you dont your process gets delayed 2 months. From what I am reading everyone has been getting a PPR a passport send request. I am wondering what is this and Can i already send this to the office right now, if so then which one? The missisauga CPC or my visa office at New York. After seeing how everyones been recieving the PR within 6 months is making me feel foolish why hadnt I paid this RPRF fee before, and I really wouldnt want to waste anything more. Please help! and thanks :) My husband is living with me in Canada though right now, under visitors permit which expires this April. They asked for the fee this Feb 14

Not paying the RPRF can delay the application for sure. You have to send the receipt of the RPRF to CPC-Mississauga to the address above. CPC-Mississauga is the office responsible for that. But wouldn't hurt if you send also, to your visa office just as reference, as I did with my application.

Hope that helps,

take care!

Yes but I would like to know that Can i send his Passport right now and if so where?

You only send the passport if and when the VO asks for it to be sent. If your hubby is from a visa waiver country the VO will not even need his passport.

I hope some one can give us some feedback.

Our application was received at CIC-Mississauga on August 15 along with medical. Sponsorship was approved on October 24. File sent to Manila and passport requested on December 6. On-line services states they started processing on January 20. On February 16 On-line services added that Medical results have been received. Any idea how long before a decision is made? I know we have to be patient....

Thank You. Even though it has not been a long time, it sure seems like a long time...

Everything went swimmingly getting my passport stamped, and I'm proud to say that on Feb 21st, I landed in Canada! You guys have been so helpful in this effort, I love you all. :-*

Based on out experience, and generally what I have read here over the months, you should have a decision soon. It seems that once the passport has been requested this is looking like you will have visa. In out case our app was received Aug 22, sponsorship approved in Nov. and interview in Feb. Received visa last week. No two cases are the same so any advice or story you get may not be relevant to you. But it seems that passport requested is a very good sign. I hope you have happy news soon. :)

They asked for the RPRF fee in January & this week we received a reply from Buffalo, we paid the wrong fee. Somehow paid the Principal Applicant one again. *facepalm* This will probably add a few months to my timeline.

Where is everyone from the August thread????

I'm still here watching for other peoples updates.
Don't land till June so still got a bit of a wait.
Just sorting stuff in the house and looking for housing but still a bit early.
Hows everone else doing? :)
