I just wanted to update anyone interested. My husband landed in Vancouver on December 25th. It took a total of 1 hour to get through Immigration and find his baggage, at 7:30 pm. We took a bus that brought us to the ferry where we went directly to the Vancouver Island. I've been working a lot since he's come, but it took 10 days to get his Social Insurance Card and we're still waiting for his Immigration card. He's been in his english class for almost 2 weeks. We are so happy. Murat loves Canada, I just hope he learns english quick, because my Turkish is getting a lot better now
@ mapledreams

ok after reading your post I finally got it..lol!! We were actually inquiring about Ms. X Both Mrs. Turan and Ms. X's V.O. is the same as ours and Ms.X's husband had his interview on the 12th and she hasn't mentioned anything on how the interview went so we are assuming that it did not turn out well for them. I am very happy though to hear that Mrs.Turan and her husband are doing well and that he loves Canada.

Hi all! My husband received a registered letter at his address in England today and we won't be able to have someone pick it up for him until the weekend (since he is currently visiting me in Canada!) and we're just dying to know what it says! I'm pretty sure it's a letter from cic because I checked ecas and it said decision made but he didn't receive an email. Does anyone have any guesses as to whether it's good news or bad news?? When I received sponsor approval, I only received an email and not a hard copy letter. We're sitting on pins and needles!!

Hello everyone,

I am back. It has been a CRAZY week in other areas of my life so I have not had time to get online. I read some people were wondering where I have disappeared to and how the interview went for my husband. At first we thought it went very bad... the woman who did the interview in Turkish was very unfriendly and rude but I am starting to think this is normal at this VO as now 2 others have said the same thing! It took about 2 hours (translator was needed) and they asked everything based on the application we sent in. Nothing too strange but they were in depth. It was not a pleasant experience, though, as the interviewer was very unfriendly and accusatory. Maybe this is normal??? He was told that they had not decided and would send a letter.

I contacted them right away to let them know we never get their letters and they let me know we were missing a form. We sent it in and because my husband is not from Turkey but the visa office is there I think it may take a bit longer. However, I am hoping they would not ask for such a form if they had the intention to refuse him, right????

I know of others who were refused right there so I think we should have the visa soon once they have this form. At least I hope they would not make us do extra tasks only to refuse us.

BDH- CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That is very exciting for you! It is too bad they made you worry for a day. The whole immigration process is very stressful.

@ Ms. X

Thank you so much, I am very glad to hear that things worked out for you and your husband. That it wasn't refused. Hopefully you will be with your husband very soon. Only 8 days to go for my hubby to be home. Just in time for our 1st year anniversary!!! ;D
