Well mine was received at the end of August so if the timeline remains the same I think I should hear back in early Nov... I really hope the backlog doesn't get any worse, because it already feels like a long time since we began preparing for all of this in June.

It's also nerve wracking as our primary reason for moving at this time is my Canadian partners father has been diagnosed with an incurable cancer, and while he's responding well to treament at the moment, the chances of it suddenly getting worse are pretty high! I'm thankful my partner is still here with me though, but if things don't go through soon we might be joining the ranks of those who have to live apart while things get processed... And it's scary knowing there's a chance his dad may pass away before we get approved, as we really want to be able to spend some quality time with him and his family before that time comes, my partner has lived away from Canada for 7 years and has really only been able to visit every 2 years during that time. We've only had a short visit to them shortly before the diagnosis, and up until his dad was diagnosed his folks were coming to visit us in NZ but of course everything changes when stuff like that happens. I guess if we'd known something like this would happen we wouldn't have stayed away for so long but you can never know the future :-\

I hope we all get speedily reunited withour loved ones soon!
 
Sorry to hear about your partner's dad, easykiwi. I understand how you feel. My partner's dad passed away last year of cancer too but we both were here during that time (we still are here). Hope your application will be finalised soon to be able to spend some time with your partner's dad.
 
Right people this is the week, i can feel it.
We have had one lucky person getting approval already now its time for the rest of us.
I still have my fingers crossed that the time doesnt go up as we want August to go as smoothly as possible.

Hey Guys,

I just remembered something I forgot to do before sending in my application.

I forgot to write my wife's date of birth on the back of her 8 pictures (passport size).

Do you think they will send back the application or that's not required.

please let me know..
 
I didn´t write anything on the back of the photos, I ´never saw any kind of instructions on that part.
 
thats fine...its not a big deal... they can't return the application for that reason.

yea , I wish more people on this thread get approvals this week... I have started hating these long weekends as CPC Mississauga will also be taking off from the work on applications...

they ll be lazy to start work after they come back from long weekend !! >:( :( :(

I was reading somewhere on this website that someone got there application returned because of that reason.
So I spent 2 hours last night reading the guild but I couldnt find anything.

I think that guy just make a mistake

You are correct, name and birthday on the back of photo's and depending on the agent the application may be sent back
 
mine said to only put it on one of the photos, name date of birth and signature.
