I think it is because of the summer backlog, they are currently processing apps received from june 21st....9+31+15 = 55 days....

9 days left in june +
31days in july +
15days in august since they update every tuesday...

Yes, this is how bored i am in waiting for the approval process :P

Hopefully those officers are all in an efficient gung ho mood after their summer break and breeze through june and july apps.... ;D

my application arrived there today. I had to send it in without the FBI results. I will send them in once they arrive, I hope it doesn't get delayed too much because of this.

Hello guys..
I have a question about sending additional document after we submit the application.

Like in my case I submitted my application for spousal sponsorship during August 1st week..I was not working that time so I showed "unemployed" in the application but had included my bank statements and previous pay stubs for financial evidence.

But after submitting my application, I got a part time job this week.. So should I send them this information and employment letter now or just wait for the processing and approval ?

I ll appreciate your suggestion.

Thanks

Why this thread has become so silent ?

I know processing time keeps on jumping like anything but we can still be support for each other until we get our spouse with us.. :D

Btwn any one can please suggest something for my above question?

kuku, my opinion is not to bother sending the employment letter now unless they request it. Remember that the main purpose of employment history for the sponsor is to demonstrate that he/she is capable and willing to support his/her family - without recurring to social assistance - for the duration of the undertaking, so if you already submitted information related to past employment for the last 5 years you should be ok.

Hey Aneyshar,

Thanks for your suggestion.

I am also thinking the same that not to bother them at this time. I was concerned only because of delay in processing time if they request it later ...I have just submitted my application so they do not have even opened it yet.. So I was thinking if I can send something before they start processing my file could prevent any further delay..

But again as I mentioned, I had sent them my previous 1 and a half year's pay stubs from the USA as I was working there along with my US and Canadian Bank Statements showing more than enough balance to support two persons for at least 1 year even if none of us is working :).. but god's grace I have got some part time job while preparing for my licensing exam...

Going from what you just mentioned, it seems to me that you have shown sufficient proof both of actual employment history and also your willingness and readiness to take up employment to financially support your family, it's not like you've never worked before and there would be doubts as to whether you are someone who doesn't take his responsibilities seriously. I think that what CIC is trying to avoid is to promote immigration where people do not contribute to their own development and that of the community.

If you read some of the reports and publications or even interviews by the Immigration Minister, they support immigration by hard-working people and those whose education and family traditions can have a positive impact on Canadian society. I wouldn't be too worried about your being unemployed now if you have shown them enough evidence that you have been busy in the past building on your career and planning to make your family's life a better one.

good luck!

If you do send anything now they wont be able to marry up with your application as you dont have a file number yet. So if you do want to send something I would wait until your application is sent to your VO and then you can put on the file number to make sure they know where it has to go to.
I now have my medical form from the DMP it but didnt have time to send it to my hubby before it went off. We had included reciepts of payment and a copy of the email from the DMP to show that it had been sent and also a copy of the tracking email to show it had been signed for at the VO, but once I get my file number I am goign to send this additional form, just to make sure ;D

@Aneyshar

ya thats true.. So I will wait until they request something...
And yes, I agree that they look for someone who can work hard and give something in return to the country...A degree of physician should not make them doubt my sponsorship eligibility I guess.. Lets hope for the best..

@ Mandy

Yes It absolutely makes sense.. even if I send them anything now they wont be able to track or connect it with my file as I have got no file number yet.. I should wait until they request something or if fortunately I get approval ( I pray for it :))considering it a spousal application which is exempt from Minimum income requirement and based on my professional degree and other financial evidences which I have included with the application, then I can send additional documents to VO once file gets transferred..

One stupid question came to my mind after reading Mandy's post.. ;)

What about medicals sent my DMP to Visa office..it does not have any file number on it..
Like my wife got her medical done 1 month before I mailed my application.. DMP said that she has sent that medical report to Visa Office which in my case is New Delhi, India..

It will take at least 2 months from now as per the current picture until my file will be transferred to New Delhi..So are they going to keep the medical report until they get my file there and then search for it once they get the file ?
I hope they do not lose it. :D.

Hiya, yeah I can understand your concern, the medical file when sent to the VO has all you details on it and a bar code, so does the imm1017 copy 2 that you get from your DMP, so they can marry them up that way, the medical file will stay at the VO until your application is there. Once your application arrives at the office and they start to look at it, they will look for your medical file, they have lots of information to get them to pair up if you dont have the imm1017 copy 2, plus there is a picture of the applicant on the medical paperwork.
I wouldnt worry about it, it will find its way, and your supposed to send the proof with your application as well, so hence you would have had to have it done in advance ;D

Ooo, so excited to be on the list! But I sent my app on the 15th, according to Canada Post it was signed for at Mississauga on the 17th! Wish all the bars would fill that fast... :D
