easykiwi : ) thank you and.. I can only imagine how are you feeling now :(, It is really sad to be depending on this. Hopefuly you get soon you PPR without being interviewed ;)

I am running out of time, I have a student permit but it is good until 23d of January. I am thinking I will wait here till January and see what happens... ecas says it is in process since Nov 29 ::) maybe we get news from London in January. ( I pray so..)
And for the passport I was thinking give his aunt's address here in England, so.. Perhaps she can send us the passport back when we are in Colombia?
too risky? :(

Hey I got my AOR by email today, I'm so excited, the VO says it'll take around 6 months for the process depending on my application.

Fingers crossed!!!!!

Good Luck everyone!

Auwwww...*big hug* hang in there, its nearly end of the road. I hope you will get it back before xmas, that would be an awesome gift for both of you.

To keep everyone's mind off the ordeal, Let's share what we got our partner's for xmas : i'll start, i think i am getting him an ipod touch so we can facetime when i come back after the new year. Just not sure if i should buy it here to avoid the xmas shopping madness or in canada to experience the xmas shopping madness :P

i stayed with my husband in canada for 6 months, and within that 6 months we got married, should i have done a police check for canada also.
i already included one in my application but that was for the uk which is my home cuntry.

I have a question, how do you know your file is transferred to VO (BUFFALO for mine) ? I can't see it on e-cas.
cic received my app. on August10 and Sponsorship approved on October24.

What I can see on e-cas is Application received on the Permanent Residence Application Status is We received XXXXXXXXX's application for permanent residence on August 9, 2011.

Medical results have been received. ( SHOWS THE SAME DAY THAT THEY HAVE RECEIVED MY APP AT MISSISSAUGA)

Is that mean my file has been transferred to Buffalo?
P.S. i was using the new Barcode form IMM0008

Veronica, the vo will send you an AOR letter, however, some dont or send it within 2-3 months after it is received. Depending on the volume of application at your particular vo.

Police check is required from all country u have stayed in for 6 months or more. You can send one now before they request it provided you have the file number so the vo can match it to your file.

do you think they might not even ask for it....
and i dont even know how to get a police citificate from canada....
thanks Ryffa_Q

@lillia

I would submit the PCC . I do not want them to delay my case because of the incomplete application. They will ask for it later when they are ready to review/ already processing your case. So any incomplete document will push your file to the next date which could be anywhere from 4-6 weeks depending on the officer. So in that case even if you will submit the PCC as soon they ask for it, you should expect a delay of 4-6 weeks or even more then.

So the best deal is to submit as soon you receive your file number so that they have your full application when they are ready to process your file.

Sooner or later, they will ask for it since they have to do background check before final review. It's better you mail your VO original PCC soon.
