Just got updates on Ecas, my adress and my lawyer's adress are now showing!

Does that mean anything or...?

Could someone help me on that one?

Just looked at e-cas and my sponsor's address has been added as well.
Hopefully they are working on our files.

same here, I noticed, that when I sign in with my UCI number, my address is there. Same question from me to those who have some experience: Does that mean anything, did a person put that adress there, or is that simply an automatic electronic update?

the address is updated by the VO. It means that the VO "MAY" have started to work on your case. Nothing to worry.

hi guys all Gongratulations about your approval please i need some help we sent our applications on end of august to Mississauga and we stilll have not heard any communication from CIC yet, so my wife phoned them and they told her that they have not received our file yet its been 3 months now it is impossible i just can not beleive it do you have any idea whats going on ???

Hey Aziz,

So sorry to hear. Please contact your mail delivery company with the tracking number that they would have provided you. Also, contact the call center once again and confirm. There may be a chance that the CIC could have had incorrect information. Hope something good happens to you very soon.

hi i beleive she sent it to Mississauga, Ontario 3 months ago yes i do have receipt number for paid fees she called them and they said that they have nothing with this receipt number and all my our papers there i spent much money on medical and criminal record, plus money for delivering my application to my wife ( sponsor ) i just can not beleive what is happening i am not going to get all papers again ???

Whom you called? Did your wife sent the application through Canada Post or any other courier service like FedEx? The postal/courier service can track the package with the tracking number.

Call again the call center agents and confirm that they did not receive the package at all.

She sent it through Blue dart ... There was no mention of VFS in the PPR letter..you cans end it through any postal service or courier service.

Indian post speed post will also do. One of my friend used it and unbelievably passport was received the next day by ND. so Indian post post turned out to be much better than Canada Post which took 6 days to deliver my package by express post delivery and that too within the same city.

Question guys for clarification

i am the sponsor i got approved as a sponsor Oct. 26 CPC-M sent me letter via email stating that i was approved as a sponsor and iit says on the letter that "the APR of your sponsored person has been forwarded to visa office abroad for further processing.
now, i check my ecas just today using my UCI beside the named of my sponsored person (applicant) it has "DECSICION MADE" on it, and when i click through it the the details showed as follows: We received your application to sponsor (name of my husband) on Aug. 4th
We sent you a letter on October 26, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
question:
does this mean that our files had was just forwarded to our VO after the decision made from my ecas?
or
does this mean that VO office has just send a letter to my sponsored person?

My canadian address also showed up on ecas recently and my sponsorship status changed to decision made from in process. It has been around 22 days since it was approved and it finally shows DM. AFAIK, ecas is just slow in updating, that's all it means.

seems like too many ppl getting their updates on sponsorship on ecas.....i have atleast seen 5 ppl on this thread so far so it just means that they are doing routine updates on ecas (all from different VO btw)

You should hear from them soon. Keep checking your junk mails as well and try calling them later tomorrow if you don't hear anything.
call centers don't get long line ups on evenings on Thursday and Friday. If you haven't provided them your email, consider long wait for snail mail.

Ya we have added the CIC email address in our contacts so when it comes it should certainly come to our inbox. And yes we have provided email ids as well.

We did call them twice in the past 2 days and both times the agent said that our file has not been opened yet and asked to wait for 8 to 10 days. We even informed him that couple of ppl beyond our date also got approved but still he gave the same answer.

Now we have decided to patiently wait until it comes. No use of getting stressed it wont help in getting the approval sooner
