we all are applied before the new regulation are published although the case is considered under the new system. ~So the 8 months letter shold be considered after the documents have been submitted. Generally speaking 10 days from the date of submission. So I would suggested wait until Jan. 2010 before make an enquiry.

Hi, My application was submitted in Nov'2005. I'm also 'in Progress' how long do I have to put my life on hold in this country???

@ charlie 123; u r under old rules, normally waiting time is 4 - 4.5 years for cases applied before 28 Feb.2008 , u can see the progress of earlier cases on trackitt.com.

others who applied after 28th Feb. in 2008 , any one got Medical/PPR/VISA, please speak.

friends keep posting ur experiences/ feelings to make this thread live on first page.

No news ..... some members have received their medical request after 4-5 months. hopefully we "ll receive it by Jan.2010 end, as from mid of decembr there would be chrismas holidays.

Inshallah before christmass holidays CHC will post the medical requests. I read this news in CHC Islambad Forum.

Just got an email reply from CHC London. This is what they said in response to my inquiry:

Dear Madam,

London File: B********* (the file no. in their response is different from the initial file no. they gave me)

This is in response to your enquiry.

Your documents have been received and placed on file. Processing of your application will be resumed. No further action is required by you at this time.

A letter acknowledging receipt of your documents was sent on 06/08/09 to the address on file.

We will contact you again if we require further information or when we are ready to proceed to the next stage of your application.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Traintocanada, can you tell me what did your e cas showed before 8 sept. 2009. My e cas is showing 'in process since oct. 2008 and there has been no change since. Meanwhile I received initial approval and have submitted my full application with documents, but e cas is the same.

Before September my ecas only said "Eligibility Review Complete"... then it changed to two statuses, one on top of the other. Application Received on top and In Process in the bottom.

Your e-cas was atleast alive. I am worried as me e cas is static despite movement in my application.

I used to worry as much as you because my ecas hasn't changed since September but when CHC London replied to my email, I calmed down a bit. Have you sent them an email?

Not yet. I have marked 15 Jan as deadline. Thinking of sending them an e mail if there is no respond by that time. I am more concerned because I dont have any acknowledgement for the receipt of my docoments from CHC.

I didn't have an acknowledgement letter for my documents either, that's why I was so worried that the documents got lost in transit somewhere. But they said they sent me a letter of acknowledgement last August, and apparently that is the one that got lost!
