ATIP Notes, anyone asked for those?

I've sponsored my husband back in November 2011. My file was approved in Mississauga and through a case worker in the mayor's office, I found out my application is being processed in CPP Ottawa.

I want to order ATIP notes and wanted to ask what exactly do you get in those notes? Anyone ordered them before? And correct me if I'm wrong, but they should be ordered through the Access to Information Act as a member on here pointed out or should they be ordered under the Privacy Act if I am the sponsoree (Canadian Citizen in Canada) sponsoring my husband? Also Electronic File or Physical File...which is better to request for?

ATIP or GCMS notes give the layout of your app, at what stage it is, info about meds, security, any notes, what has been sent to you, what they have received, fees info and you can indeed find a lot from it
I found that they incorrect email for me, and even after correcting it they still sent request for more paperwork to the wrong address ( something I found from ATIP notes itself ) so if it wasn't for these ATIP notes, I would be in total darkness as another member as experienced where their app was rejected as CIC never heard back anything whereas the applicant never received anything to give them ( mailing issue ) - if only they had checked ATIP notes
