HI All,

Just wanted to know at what stage will I have to provide CIC with police clearance certificates? Do they require it immediately after I get my ITA along with the list of documents?

-A

Generally IRCC requires PCCs to be submitted along with the PR application (e-APR). In some cases, they require a consent from applicants instead of the PCC and IRCC itself collects the respective PCC from concerned authorities (e.g: New Zealand). Also, in some cases if requested, they would give additional time to submit PCC after the e-APR (e.g USA PCC by FBI that takes long time to complete).

Check out below link for country specific process to collect and submit PCCs. If in doubt, feel free to ask in forum again.

In some cases i.e Singapore, you need to provide a letter stating that you are applying from a country that requires an official letter of request from CIC. You have to upload the letter instead of the actual PCC

Yes, it is part of your application after you receive ITA. In some cases (if you need an FBI PCC), you can submit the application without the PCC with a letter of explanation that shows why you don't have the document attached. Then, raise a CSE with the attached document once you have it OR wait for them to request it.
