Hello,

I am applying for graduate studies and I want to know at what stage for my CEC application I will receive one of the following results. When I receive on of these, my tuition will be domestic.

Thanks.

"It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent resident status. “

or

"We have completed the initial assessment of your application and expect to finalize your application without a personal interview."

or

"This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada, Your interview has been waived."

or

"This refers to your application for permanent residence within Canada on humanitarian and compassionate grounds."

You will receive an acknowledgement of receipt with information on what to do next but you may check the status of your application on ecas or apply for GCMS notes. Really, until you receive a permanent residence document there is no guarantee.

I got your point. but on Schulich's (York University's business school) website they have specifically stated that if your application says one of those statements, your tuition would be domestic. That implicitly implies that during the process of the CEC application and before we get our PR card we should receive one of those statements. Now my question is at what stage in CEC do we receive them. and on average how long does it take to get to that stage. e.g. is it at the time they request for medicals? is it when they request the passport for visa? is it before asking for PR card.
Thanks.

Again, you have to keep checking ecas for the status of your application, if you want that information. At what stage or when you get them is anybody's guess, so have lots of patience.

one of my friends got his tuition deducted by York with the AOR letter

not sure if he's lucky or it's the general practice

Dude. My question is from those who have their PR card today. I am asking them to go through their emails or mails and see at what stage they received one of these statement. I am not asking anyone to guess. It's a very simple logical question.

I shall say he got extremely lucky. Maybe 10 years ago they would have done something like that but not today anymore

When you learn to ask for help with some humility instead of a chip on your shoulder, you may actually get the answers you seek.

I sincerely apologize if you got offended with my message. I am at a very frustrating state in with work and soon school and this immigration process. I apologize if my message was not respectful.

Dear Kamaleddin,

I have a kinda same question as the one u asked a while ago: At which state (after receiving the file number? medical?...) my tuition will be domestic (U of T) ?
I was hoping u could help me with this.

Tnx in advance,
