Hi,
Does asylum effects sponsor in a negative way... My sister nd her husband, they are on a visitor visa here in Canada and they are willing to apply for asylum. Is it like safe for my brother as he sponsored them on a visitor visa. My brother is on a work permit. Their asylum could effect his case too.
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Diksha

It won't impact his work permit but this will most likely impact his ability to invite other family members in the future.

Note that to be approved for the TRV, your sister and her husband really have to qualify for a TRV on their own. Your brother's sponsorship doesn't really hold much water.

Thanks for your reply, does it impact then also when he gets his PR or citizenship?

If your sister and her husband claim asylum, then after that it will be extremely difficult / impossible for any member of your family to obtain a temporary visa to Canada. For example, you should assume it will be very hard for your parents to obtain a TRV if they want to visit. Yes - this will still be true after your brother obtains PR / citizenship.
