Dear All,

My friend asks me the following and I think here I can find answers. she was journalist and she was attacked by political demonstration in 2010, as if she was provoking. Later this demonstration members were beaten hardly by police and so she was accused in provocation. Later she was out of country for a while, then when situation was back to normal she returned and started working in Government. Her job was cut this year. After she was removed from Government job, the threatening letters came to her and her family. She had Canada visa and visited Canada once, she was thinking to apply for asylum but she returned back again and started working in commercial company. But now the demonstration who beat her is gonna become ruling government of the country. So she sees that someone will take revenge on her.

She has video evidence, and this fact was condemned by High EU commission representatives that time.

She asks me a question if she comes to Canada does she has serious evidence that he will be granted asylum and then resident permit of the country? Ok frankly she is my sister :)

so what do you think and what is timing?

thanks

Also please advise if it is better for her to apply for skilled worker category? because of timing? She has 2 week staying business Visa, what happens if she applies skilled worker emigration and not ask for asylum? She will be deported? And what happens if she applies for both?

thanks folks
