I'm from Yemen . I applied for asylum on 2016. My asylum case was rejected by US. On 2017 . After that they sent me a letter to attend a court hearing and prepare for deportation . Since I have a TPS at that time in the US and the lawyer was very good ,the judge dismissed my deportation and allow me to stay in the US with a legit status . I didn't go for appeal. Is it OK to apply for asylum in Canada since I have a good reasons and evidence for my case and what is the chance to be granted the refugee status. Please advise
Thanks to all

With our without the change in law, the possibility that you will be denied is very high. Abandoned or rejected asylum claims from other countries mean your evidence is not as strong as you think.

You currently have TPS and are living legally in the us. many of the people who have been living with TPS in the US who have come to Canada have been denied. Sounds like you have been living in the US for many years so proving that your life is currently at risk will be very difficult.
