Hello everybody,

May I ask about applying for an asylum as a Syrian married to American from inside Canada, what does he have to do? If he applies what will his wife situation be?
If he got accepted as a Syrian, how can his wife stay with him if she can't apply since she is an American?

Since I have a strong story, I would like to know if it is possible or not.

I realy need your advice and a clear answer, your time is appreciated.
Thank you

Your wife would be included in the refugee application as a dependent.

Do you already have an approved visitor visa to Canada?

It's possible having an American spouse may make it more difficult for your claim to be accepted.

Yes I have a visa, but my concern is about applying or finding a lawyer who can help, regardless being Syrian I have a critical political issue and I had suffered because of it, in addition to that my wife has her own issue, she was abused and used for green card from her former husband and can't go to her country because of her situation. However, we both are worried about our future and hesistated.
