Hi all,
This is my situation:

- we recently applied for a TRV for my sister, nephew and grand mother to come join me in canada for a one month holiday.
- I am a PR here and is inviting them.
- We applied at the Bangalore, India office and after 10 days we got a notice:
"Additional information is required in order to continue processing your application......"
Requested information/documentation
-Copy of your father's passport ( referring to my nephew who is 2 yrs old)

The father is unable to make the trip due to work commitments[/list]

I am just trying to guess what the chances of it getting approved? why would they ask for the passport when we mentioned in the invitation letter the father will not be part of the traveling party and submitted copis of the Birth and marriage certificates. Anyone can help please.

Thanks!!!!

Hi,

It's not possible for any of us to guess their chances of being issued TRVs. It depends on their strong ties to India + their personal situations.

As the visa office has requested for a copy of your BIL's passport, you must submit it.... perhaps they need it to verify some information

Cheers
