Ask for comparison between Edmonton and Vancouver

I have just received my PR confirmation and am hesitating between settling in Vancouver, BC suburbs (like Richmond) and Edmonton, Alberta.
How cheaper is a place like Richmond, BC, compared to a similar place in Edmonton, AB.

Secondly, in terms of job prospects, which place offer better option?

For rental: Use padmapper.com for both Edmonton and Richmond, BC and then you would know which is cheaper!
