Hello Everyone,

We want to immigrate to Canada with my wife and little daughter. We are both well educated artists in Turkey.
I am an artist and my wife is also well know artist in our country. My projects gets really popular around the world to. Exhibiting popular art fairs and museums in Europe and US.
Also many well know magazines, newspapers, and online platforms write articles about my projects.
Therefore, we decide to apply in self employment status but after reading some forums i recognize that its taking so long time.
Also, while we were thinking to immigrate Canada,Toronto. A Toronto based gallery offer me one year contract to work with them and i accept it. Now i am working with them.
I am also working with New York based gallery. We can immigrate US, European countries and Australia but we like and prefer to live in Canada.
I also passed IELTS.
I just search forum and couldn't find something similar.
Could you tell me is there better way or better method for my situation. Open for all advise.

Thank you so much.
All the best,

It will be quite a task to opt for self employment. Have you looked at the NOC list to check if your occupation is at skill O, A or B? Your occupation has to be on the list and skill level for express entry. If you are getting a job opportunity to go for it. Your Canadian experience will give you points in you choose EE via CEC. There is no pass or fail in IELTS. If your CRS is low then you would have to increase your IELTS score. Age and education is also an important factor. Get your educational qualifications evaluated according to ECA. This is all I can suggest. Sorry I have no more info about artists immigrating.

First of all thank you so much for your quick response and helping.
My occupation is in skill A. But i made a little search about express entry and its options are not suitable for artist and galleries. Also gallery wants to help me but i read something like that: business owner must search in Canada for that job opportunity and than if they couldn't find any person than they can allowed to ask for immigrated people. But Gallery and my side how is it possible.

I would almost suggest consulting an immigration lawyer to see what options you have.

That was weird, looked nothing like the correct link - trying again -

There's also the tool specifically for express entry to see if you qualify -
