Hi Samir,
I have a question to you..
I am planning to apply under Arranged Employment category as well but I just spoke to one immigration consultant and he made everything really confusing.
I have my work permit with a positive LMO valid until October 2013. As we know it takes approx. 16 months to get a PR, so it means it will go over October, 2013. I was sure that I can apply, if the processing time goes over October, 2013, I get impied statuss and I can keep working. But now that Immigration consultant told me that I have to have a valid work permit (with positive LMO) also in that time when PR is issued. It means that I have to ask my employer to apply for LMO one more time.
What is your situation and what do you know about that?

Hi serzal,

With arrange employment its take less month approx. max 12 month if you applying right now may be you get your pr before expire of work permit. if pr process take more time than your work permit validity you can extend with help of employer.

Hello Serzal,

Your consultant was correct. If you apply PR under AEO, your work permit should be valid when you get the PR.

However, if one year work experience in Canada (current criteria is 2 years work experience in Canada and soon its going to change to one year), you can apply under Canadian Experience Class.

There are 2 advantages

1)You don't need your work permit to be valid when you get the PR
2) Processing is faster as compared to FSW processing

Disadvantage

1)You will have to wait for 1 year to complete.

Please let me know if you have any questions

Thanks,
Deepak

hi there.. i send my application last August 17,2012 under AEO too.. i don't have my file number yet but they my credit card has been charged last Oct 19, 2012. Maybe i can join this group since there only 2 months gap.. :)

Thanks Deepak!

Yes, I have heard about new changes for Experience Class. I have 1,5 years of Canadian Work Experience in B level NOC. My only consern about that class and new rules is language test. I have just in avarege 5,5 points.. I'm not sure is CIC will take my application with those points.
How do you think?

Regards,
Serzal

hi serzal,

if you apply pr right now you dont have to worried about ielts score.

Arranged Employment

Employers who would like to offer a permanent job to a foreign worker wanting to immigrate to Canada can facilitate this with an offer of arranged employment under the Federal Skilled Worker Program. CIC places priority on new Federal Skilled Worker applications with a qualifying job offer.

Processing times: Most cases are finalized within 11 months.
Employers need to:
Provide a qualifying job offer.
If recruiting from overseas, obtain an Arranged Employment Opinion.
Most foreign workers can be recruited as Temporary Foreign Workers while their application for permanent residence is being processed.
There is no requirement for the employer to first offer the position to a Canadian or a permanent resident.
