Are Transcripts/Marksheets needed in University sealed envelope only?

Hi,

While submitting the list of required documents to the New Delhi Visa office,
- Are the marksheets given to us at the time of graduation not enough for submission?
- Is it necessary to obtain these again from the respective universities and submit to the visa office only in an university-sealed envelope? If so, is this a new requirement for submission?

Please guide us.

I am also in the same dilemma..., but I have come to know from this forum that even though transcripts are on the list of documents. but New Delhi office does not insist on that...and I have been told by many good people in this forum that most of the people get visas without transcripts...but my advice is if it is possible try to get transcripts....All the universities have a system for this...they issue the transcripts with a fee. but the problem is that most of the universities insists that they will send the transcripts directly to CHC, they do not give by hand...while in the documents list it is written that all the documents should be send in a single packet....so there is lot of confusion with that.

Hi Guys,

i just read the checklist once again, only to confirm that we only need to send a photocopy(notarized of course) of the documents mentioned in the VO specific checklist. We will anyway have our original degrees and transcripts in hand, just get a photocopy of them notarized and send it along. I also read that we need not send the PCCs at this point to Sydney NS. So, this gives us ample time at least 1.5 months to procure the university sealed documents and PCCs .

Do we need all the marksheets and degree sealed from university but you have mentioned that we need only notarised documents. I have all marksheets and degree in original with me.

What does transcript means?

Do I need to go to university and get the marksheets and degree again in sealed envelope to keep it with me and submit it afterwards whenever required?

Please help...I am confused. :-\

Transcripts are needed in Original by CHC New Delhi at least

Original Transcripts can be obtained in multiple copies from University and should be in sealed envelope as per CHC requirement. In case Transcripts can not be arranged, you may try sending notarized copies of transcripts but if VO is not staisfied, he may still ask for transcripts

Transcripts mean Provisionals [mark sheets] of your graduation which u get every year. u have to request it from university they will charge u minimal fee to issue transcripts. they will stamp on the photo copy of ur provisionals and sealed in envelop and envelop also stamped.that's it. it is very easy to get in Hyderabad i dont know form which university u r?

anyway its not problem to get it and please dont send our originals either to CIC or VO they dont need it.

Dear Sati

yes u r right but u dont get right away, they will take form from you with required fee and xerox copies. u have to go back again after a week to collect them. As they will check ur certificates in university records to make sure it is orignal. if they are found correct they stamp of photo copies of orignals.

u have to carry a envelop with u on the delivery datel and they will close in front of u and stamped it. whole process will take 8 to 10 days in Hyderabad and u will not get right away.

Check with ur university the process might be same

Transcripts are marksheet in a nutshell but not a photocopy of your marksheet. University generally gives the Information like your Name, Duration, Colege of course and provide the list of all courses and marks obtaines and all this information is captured in one or two pages. It is signed by Univ authority.

They put it in a University envelope and put seal on envelope any place it can be opened from
