Are signed or certified PDF files accepted for letters of employment?

One of my former companies insists on sending me the letter of employment signed/certified. I can't remove the security. Is this acceptable to immigration? If not, I can copy the contents into a new pdf file I create, with no security.

I no longer need assistance in this matter, but I'll leave the post up and steps to take in case anyone else has this issue in the future:

Export the signed or certified PDF into Microsoft Word
Save the Microsoft Word document as a PDF
Done!

Enjoy your unsigned, uncertified PDF with the exact same content.
You can also just upload the Word document if you wish, I believe either format is accepted (please check this is correct first.)
