Hi
Are ID documents of siblings (Who are NOT Canadian citizens) required at any stage of immigration process? My brother in law is moving abroad and if something is required at any stage I should take that from him now.

Thanks.

Yes - they certainly are. At the time you submit your application, you will need to provide evidence the sibling is actively living in Canada. If your brother in law moves abroad before you submit your application, then you should not claim sibling points.

Thanks for your reply. The sibling I am referring to is NOT Canadian citizen, nor is he moving to Canada. He is living in Pakistan, moving to Australia. Will any documents (ID card, Passport, birth certificate) required from him, that I should get from him in advance?

I had assumed he was a Canadian PR since you said he was not a citizen. Is he also not a Canadian PR?

If so - no documents needed.
