Hey guys! I’ve received such valuable help on this site before so thought I would give it another go.
I’m currently 9 months into an exclusion order. I’ve been back in Australia since December 15th. I’m now about to submit an ARC application at my local Visa office in Sydney this week.
I have written my letter, have the passport photos and passport copies and the processing fee.
My question is, must it be submitted with a temporary resident visa application? Can it be submitted with no visa application? Because I currently have spousal sponsorship in the world. That is no trouble. But was wondering if anyone has any experience on how long they’re generally granted for? A month? Two months?

I appreciate any feedback and welcome any comments. It means the world.

Yes, you need to submit a TRV application along with the ARC application per the instructions on the IRCC website.

If you don't want to submit the TRV paperwork and fees and you have a spousal sponsorship application in progress, then do not submit the ARC separately. IRCC will request the ARC paperwork and fees as part of the spousal sponsorship process.

I don't understand your question about how long they are usually granted for. An ARC removes inadmissibility. This removal isn't temporary.

Sorry that was a badly worded question about how long they’re granted for.
So you’re saying that if my pr application is in the process of been sent off (working on it with lawyers currently, hope to have it sent off in a month) that I should just not submit a TRV or ARC application? And I should just wait for when I lodge my spousal sponsorship to submit an Arc?

I appreciate your feedback a lot!

No, that is not what I am saying at all. Submitting the spousal sponsorship application and submitting the ARC + TRV are two separate applications.

If you submit the spousal sponsorship application while you are still inadmissible to Canada, then depending on when IRCC starts the processing (and whether you are still inadmissible at that time), they will request the ARC fee and process and ARC along with your spousal sponsorship application. This means that you do not need to submit an ARC along with your spousal sponsorship application. Frankly your lawyer should know this and should have already told you this.

Separately, if you want to try to get permission to return to Canada while you are still inadmissible, then you need to submit the ARC paperwork along with the TRV paperwork. See you original post. You were asking if you need to submit the TRV paperwork along with the ARC paperwork. The answer is yes. Again, your lawyer should be able to help you with all of this.
