Yes, it is normal to get a BIL within 24 hours of applying.
Maybe the visa office has started the background checks right away due to the time it takes to complete these checks
Not every application goes through background checks. It depends on the nationality and/or if the applicant has lived in high-risk countries and/or if the applicant has worked in sensitive/critical areas of work.
I don't mean to scare you.... yes, these are the 'dreaded background checks' that can take months (or in some cases, even more than one year). That being said, we have also seen background checks that were completed in a few weeks

So not everyone gets that status ? ( BG check in progress) .
We got that status after submitting our application by just a couple of hours??
Both our kids have inapplicable.
My husbands biometrics was updated and mine still hasn’t changed.. waiting on it to get updated.

On 6th April my husband submitted file for visitor visa on my convocation i.e. in june. Till now online tracking is just showing in process at delhi. Can anyone guide me what we can do ?
