Non-SDS applied from India.

Applied- 12th April
Bio- 19th April
Upfront medical- 27th April
Eligibility started- 7th May
Medicals Passed- 10th May

Got 2-3 ghost updates after that. Not even BVL received. Very stressful.

For applications that are taking long time to receive a decision, does it have a higher chance of approval? (Trying to stay positive :()

Country - India
Upfront Medical— 22 March
Visa filled —(Non SDS) 10th April
Biometrics— Done in 2019
Medical- pending
Review- pending
PPR - waiting (Already have a valid TRV [SX-1] till 2024), so only waiting for study permit
Your profile is interesting. Will keep an eye on this one knowing that a refusal in your situation (having a valid TRV till 2024) cannot be on ground that the Applicant is not likely to return to his home country after studies. All the best

Hi all, I am Michelle and I am a Zimbabwean living and working in South Africa and I have decided to change my career completely and thought studying in Canada would be the best way to start.

I am new to this forum... I have applied for a study permit through an agency. I actually applied in March and was originally accepted for the summer intake but alas my visa was not approved in time so I have very fortunately been extended to the fall intake, here is my timeline:
  • 05/12/2020 College acceptance letter received
  • 09/12/2020 Immigration agent officially hired
  • 17/12/2020 Applied for Zimbabwean Police Clearance
  • 21/12/2020 Zimbabwean Police Clearance complete
  • 08/01/2021 Medical examination
  • 14/01/2021 Received Zimbabwean PCC
  • 24/02/2021 Received original SA PCC
  • 11/03/2021 Visa application submitted
  • 14/03/2021 Biometrics requested
  • 17/03/2021 Biometrics complete & submitted
  • 19/05/2021 Date extended & submitted to CIC.
Wishing you all the best for your applications!!
