Does anyone has an update on their application?

I saw processing time was 9 months on November and December and it has not been updated since. I had couple of ghost updates meanwhile, but still waiting for medicals(not started) and background check(in progress since June).

currently oct nov 2024 getting p1 p2 . so i guess in june or so for apr may 2025 applications

You might have your medical request in April, 2026. I have seen that applicants get this request after 12 months. P1 and P2 have been sent a month later. But pay attention: background check can take several months.

I have been waiting for medicals and background check as well. Haven't heard any update since September 2025.

In a few more months, I think we’re going to start seeing news for April 2025 applicants.

My spouse has decided to anticipate the medical exam. We hope this might speed up the application by at least one month. The doctor told us that doing it without a request could make IRCC ask for it again, even if they already have the exam. Well… we’re going to take the risk and do it anyway lol.

I think that April applicants will start receiving medical requests next month. P1 may come in May, following the pattern I have seen with other applicants.


My spouse did not wait for the medical request. She decided to do it in advance, and we sent the receipt via webform. They added it to her application 48 hours later. She is still waiting for it to be marked as "completed".

New update. Well, as I said before, my spouse decided to do the medical exam in advance (without request) two weeks ago. Today IRCC updated the tracker to "completed".
