Finally some movement on my parents application that was submitted on April 10. Eligibility review changed to:
  • We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Keeping fingers crossed!

Hello Guys,

Need your suggestion if some one has information about this.
I have applied my parents visitor visa on April 28,2022.
Biometric submitted and updated on the May 3, 2022.

Since after that we are not getting any further updates. It is showing that
"We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."

Due to some personal medical urgency, we need my parents in canada ASAP. I have contacted the local MP and share all this detail. Finally we got this latest status update from them.
Do you know what is the meaning of this and where it can start the "Review of Eligibility" ?

Below information we received.

  • Criminality is passed
  • The eligibility has not started yet.
  • No further documentation required.
  • There are no processing times for these applications
Your advice will really helpful to us.
