hey everyone

I just received an email inviting my PA to attend a pre-arrival service. Does this mean our PR has been approved? I dont see any changes in ECAS or MyCIC online account nor have I received any other email or PPR

never heard of that. what does it exactly say ?

Hi everyone,
I (sponsor) had an email today saying that my husband's Application for Permanent Residence will be processed by the Mississauga office.
I thought it was already in Mississauga being processed
Does anyone know what stage this is at?
Our previous correspondence requested Schedule A and new photos. We sent hard copies in June and I phoned in early July to make sure they got them. I was told Schedule A had definitely arrived but there were no notes on the system to say the photos had arrived (they were sent together). A message was sent to the Mississauga office but when I phoned again to request an update I was told that it can take months for a response.
So although I don't know where in the process we stand or if we need to provide photos still I'm glad the application hasn't been lost on someone's desk.

I have applied in March 2017 but my file is still at Mississauga. It has not transferred to VO yet. 5 months gone still file at Mississauga. :'(

yea I have contacted CPC-M through MP in July and they said your file is at Mississauga and no documents required and file will be transferred to LVO soon. but again 1 month gone. :-(

Well i guess if possible you can call and inquire again ? Maybe they are processing locally ?

Did you order GCMS notes? For some people the status changed to that when the notes were generated.

FYI if this may apply to anyone else out there.
Our online account continues to be broken. It's been stuck in the very first stage which is "We received your application.....". It always shows that there is pending documentation from our end. Technical support didn't do a thing to fix it.
So all the communication we've had has been through phone calls. Yes, multiple 40 minutes hold type of calls.
Finally yesterday we received an email with an attachment letting us know that our file will be processed in Mississauga. So I guess it will not be transferred to Ottawa. We will give it a couple of weeks and call again for an update. We will never know if medicals have been requested unless we call.
Just thought I'd throw it out there...

Sent out application: March 21, 2017
Received: March 22, 2017
Received e-mail from CIC to link application: April 3, 2017
Linked account on CIC: April 3, 2017
Verification of linked account: April 3, 2017
husbands application for Sponsorship Approval, APPROVED: April 6, 2017.
May 31, 2017 - Medical Exam Request
Medical done on June 15, 2017 SENT: June 15, 2017 (via e-mail)
May 31, 2017 - Sons Birth Certificate and my FBI Clearance request SENT: June 15, 2017 (via e-mail)
August 30, 2017....waiting......:/

Visited Port of Entry Prescott, Ontario...CBSA told me that my file was set to be completed September....no idea how he knew that, but that's what he said...hoping that is indeed the case!

I'm late in the April section, but I'm going to submit mine tomorrow. I see some of you got the facility to text you? How would I do that to determine when it's been opened?
Also, for my husband whom I'm sponsoring. I've had him fill out Schedule A: background check which will be ready when they email him. What kind of background check do I have him look into otherwise to have ready? A local police one? FBI? He's American.

My advice to you would be to apply for FBI Clearance Immediately! They are so backlogged and I had to send in for it twice due to the first set not being able to be read. It took 6 months to get a letter from FBI that they needed new prints due to unreadable prints. I did them a second time and that took over 4 months....when they request you to send them, they will give you a time limit to get them to CIC....start now. I sent my request for FBI Clearance the same day i sent my application out for PR....by the time they requested them I only had so many days remaining in my timeline....the FBI Clearance came in only 3 days after my CIC request. Do it soon and make sure they are done properly!

I would just call them and ask regarding this. i just read on some other forum that, there is a system glitch. so you might not need to send any documents. however, just confirm by calling them.

I have the same message in myCic account since mid July. My rep called Cic and confirmed they do not need anything. May be you can call and check as well.
