Just one e-mail to the PA. I'm assuming we will get the SA to the sponsor's e-mail in a few days, hopefully. We were able to link the application online right away.

We were afraid that our application got returned for some reason. It seems like they are working on the first April applicants now.

Thanks man. We have the same timeline, I am the SA and my wife didn't receive any AOR yet....

Can you try checking your ECAS? Using your application number and let me know if any info comes up?

Third time's the charm, right? Just mailed in my application again this morning, will be received tomorrow. Included a letter of explanation with our 2015 NoA explaining it's the most recent one we have available, included the Use of a Representative form since we put my mailing address in Canada, and put my name and date of birth on the back of all our relationship proof photos (something else we had forgotten last time, not sure if it would have caused an issue or not). And... of course... went through the checklist about a thousand times making sure everything was signed and accounted for. Fingers crossed - I can't handle another return!

Because my husband is self-employed and has not filed his 2016 taxes yet (it's a time-consuming endeavor) and I did not want to wait multiple weeks to submit my application when I've already faced multiple months of delays.

I should be fine since I submitted an explanation letter this time. Really, it should have been fine even without the explanation letter, given the amount of people on this forum who submitted 2015 and received their AOR's just fine, but life isn't fair sometimes...

Hey everyone,
Just joining the April thread. My husband is from Buffalo, NY and our application was received by CIC Mississauga on April 20th. Guess it is going to be May by the time we hear from them!
I added our data to the April spreadsheet. I'm not sure if Ottawa would be the correct processing office.

Another Buffalo spouse here (not originally from there, but lived there for the past number of years while I was dating my now-husband.)
Ottawa is the correct office. : )
