actually i could call it tragic that it takes them 3 months to open the file and a couple of hours to approve. i mean, come on !!!

Yes it may be a little tragic but we have all kept as positive as possible with each other’s support. I am not sure if others feel this way, but I find it irritating that you keep posting groaning comments about the time line and your approval in the April thread. Most of have waited a long time and kept our heads up and its terribly annoying to see your comments when you have submitted a month after all of us. Just my two cents

the comment was not for me but for everyone, including you.

if you cannot understand that, try a beer to cool off.

I agree. May and June need to chill out and maybe stay out of the April thread. April is stressed out enough!

No need to be rude, I suggest you follow the May thread as people will be understanding of your situation as they are in the same position as you. And its not just this comment, you make one almost everyday annoyed that you havent been approved. I am chill, dont worry about that, just post where its warranted, such as the May thread.

missmymexi, I'm with you. I actually stopped following the thread since a few weeks ago. I still check it occasionally, but I felt comfortable with what you're mentioning.

I'm from May, and actually the first May applicant that got approved in that thread. Honestly, we didn't expect it till the end of August, and even though my husband and I are living in opposite sides of the globe, we are trying to keep positive and focus on maintaining our long distance stuff, which believe me with 11 hours time difference it's quite challenging. So, we still have the bulk of the visa process in front of us, and my husband and I try not to focus on the visa related stuff and get on with our lives till the processing is finished and he gets his visa. We don't want the time waiting for the visa to be a time wasted. We really want to use the time to contribute positively to our life plans.

As a May applicant, I didn't feel comfortable to post in May thread after we got approved, since it was all about how horrible it is etc etc. I have to mention that I ended up with a couple of negatives on my profile for some reason on that week. Honestly, I didn't understand the reason!

I feel for everyone who has been waiting without even one single piece of acknowledgement that CIC has their file, and I do hope that the speed up will lead to less waiting time for everybody.

Thank you again missmymexi, for bringing up the subject. It feels as if something was lifted off my shoulders. :)

Best of luck to you, and to all of us. I wish all of us a smooth and speedy process!

Honestly I am a May applicant as well...yes it is hard to see others after us getting approved but sooner or later we will alll be approved and sooner or later we will all go through step 2 and the end result we will alllllllllll be with our spouses... some sooner than others.. i get upset too i loose my patience and i may complain about cic taking time or i may post saying come on cic work faster or something but I agree we are all a huge family here we should be happy for each other and pray for the best and keep positive.... i feel like the more u think and the more u become negative... so we should all be POSITIVE :D :D
BCgirl2012 I was shocked to see your approval and honestly that brought sooooooooooooooooooooo much hope for us.. seeing a May applicant approved so fast made me think of more positive things :) I know i am happy for everyone...maybe deep down i am sad that i still havent gotten anything but you know what? i willlll very soon ;) and about the negatives i have gotten one too :-s not sure why.. but its ok.. :)
good luck to you on stage 2 i will be joining u there sooooooon :D
btw i have an 11.5 hour difference too ... not easy but we are both keeping busy and working and trying to maintain our lives.. :) where is ur husband if u dont mind me asking?? :)

good luck to allllllll April applicants...we need to see more this week!! come one guys be POSITIVE :D and CIC will be working harder than ever!!! we need alllll April and May applicants to be happy within the next 2 weeks :)

good luck all :)

It's not about being negative, I don't consider myself a negative person and I think it's only fair that members that have been waiting 90+ days come on here to vent. I'm very much for the positive vibe and I've even posted a couple of times about that, speaking in my case it's really really frustrating to be waiting while other people that applied after me are getting approval and then coming on here to complain about waiting what 40 days? Come on give me a break, there are cases on here that waited over 110 days!!!

And yes thanks missmymexi for expressing what I was thinking.

Absolutely, we are all in a up hill battle, I also followed the January, february and march threads ! I see nothing wrong with that, it certainly gives you a clearer picture of what is going on as a whole and no one should feel bad for doing it but you should definately respect the posters in that thread that are teetering on the edge waiting for approvals, there is a lot of emotion at play for all of us. I dont want to discourage dkera from posting, we all need the support, I merely would like him/her to put the comments on the appropriate thread or make comments that are applicable to the april applicants. I was a little leary about speaking my mind on this, but after several days of woes of not getting approval and applying in May on the April thread, the vein in my head started to pop a little.

dkera - please do not take this harshly, I have tried to be as respectful as possible with how I approached this subject. This doesnt make your battle any less than ours or any less important and you deserve to get the support you need, as we have. Do not be discouraged to use the forum, it really is a great form of support.

Just wanted to say I +-ed your rating BCGirl and alish ;)

It's good to have positive people on the forum! It makes it easier for all of us :D

I am likening the whole process to different school levels- we are all at different stages heading towards the finishing line, but doesn't mean we aren't in it together supporting eachother to the end goal!

I do agree though that if you want to vent - maybe do it in your own group - so other people in the same stage can empathise!

Good-luck everyone... I am sure the end of the week will build up momentum :)

I absolutley agree with u what i mean by negative is just saying why did they get it and why havent i gotten mine... i know we are almost all very positive because of our positions... trust me if we were negative we would not be here lol.. we are positive we all knew from the start before we got married and applied that we would go through these stages... and we all agreed on them...we just need to keep our heads up and pray for the best.. and yes my application was recieved May10th even though my first application was recieved April 18th and then returned to me 10 days later... :( I would want the people who applied before me to get their AORS soon as well..its not a nice wait period for no one.. its hard on all of us.. and reading other peoples time lines gives us hope and encouragement...we will be lucky if we get ours before the 91day date CIC is giving.. i feel bad for the people who have waited longer..they deserve to get theirs ASAP!
