Hi everybody!

Does anybody know what if any problems could arise if I left Canada to go and wait out the last few months with my spouse?

I dont have to be in-country do I for the process to complete? OR do I?

We're six months into this...lucky enough to be able financially to do it....would my leaving Canada jeoprodize the process?

THANKS in advance!))

Are you a PR or citizen? Fine if you are a citizen. If you are a PR - then you should limit your visit to 2-3 weeks.

Yes - really. PRs must be living in Canada in order to sponsor a spouse (if you look thorugh the details on the CIC site you'll see this is a requirement - only citizens are allowed to sponsor a spouse while living outside of Canada). Short trips outside of Canada are OK for PRs. However if a PR leaves for an extended period of time, they run the risk of having the application refused due to non residency. We've seen cases of these refusals here.

Thank you....thats useful information..born and raised here with a strong desire to avoid a winter thats fast approaching...anddd simply just to be together with my wife. I'll search out more detailed info from CIC...any idea if there's a time limit for a "citizen" sponsor to be out of the country?

No time limit at all. You can stay with your spouse all the way to landing, if you like.
