Hi Team,
I have my COPR valid till 17th of December 2020, and I reside in the USA but cannot travel to Canada to get my PR card due to COVID -19 situations, is there a way that I can get the PR card in Canada consulate in the USA.
Thanks and Regards
Sindhu

You are in the US so could travel to settle just not do a soft landing so is more of a question whether you want to travel. There are many posts here about people not being inclined to travel due to COVID and the procedure to delay travel not that many from the US though, more from countries who have their own travel restrictions such as India

Also if you mean literallly get a PR card that can only be delivered to a Canadian address

Latest guidelines

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...-covid19/immigration-applicants.html#approved

You are exempt from the current travel restrictions and can come to Canada if you have a valid COPR and:

  • the COPR was issued on or before March 18, 2020 or

  • the COPR was issued after March 18th, 2020 and you are an immediate family member sponsored by a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (note that grandparents are not considered immediate family members and cannot come to Canada at this time) OR

  • you’re currently living in the U.S. and will be coming to Canada directly (transiting through the U.S. to Canada doesn’t apply)

To meet the travel restriction exemptions, you must also:

  • be coming to Canada to settle permanently (you cannot come to Canada and leave to go live in another country, even if it’s temporary)

  • show you’re able to quarantine for 14 days

All the relevant information was already given to you above.

If you're talking about getting a PR card delivered in the US, then no.

There is nothing restricting you from doing a soft landing if you are entering from the US, so long as you follow the information already provided to you in the earlier post.

Lots of people have managed to do a soft landing as long as they quarantined in Canada for 14 days.
