Hi there, I'm applying for Permanent Resident with in Canada (spouse class) and on my status it says Decision Made. We got an email saying that We'll be getting a call for an appointment and that We should bring valid passport and travel documentation. I'm just wondering if anyone knows what should I expect at the appointment?

My husband and I were in a long distance relationship for most of our dating. We are also 4 years apart with me being older. We met in 2017 for the first time after 5 years of dating. We visited 5 times with in that year of us first meeting and got married in 2018. It will be 2 year in July.

I've read a couple of things saying that they ask for an appointment so they can interview you to see if the relationship is genuine. also that sometimes you need to provide proof? Prior to me getting this email, We had received another email asking to provide proof of cohabitation which We did as well as paying the Right of Permanent Residence Fee.

If anyone could give me some advice I'd appreciated it. :)

Thank you.

It's a landing appointment, not a relationship interview.

Hmmm? That is what I thought as well but I’m in Canada. I’ve been here since 2018. I had a visitor record then got a work permit.

maybe I’m overthinking. I appreciate the reply:)

A landing appointment is when you officially get your PR finalized. Even if you are already in Canada, you need this step to complete the process and get your PR card mailed out to you.
