Applying with a non-machine-readable passport? [PK]

Well obviously PK with all the problems these days about getting passport renewed.

So how guys? Can I apply with my manual non-machine-readable passport?

bro its better if you apply for a machine readable passort. Its valid for 10 years and easy to apply.

pakistan is facing major issues with creating passports these days.

i had it checked out yesterday, they say even an URGENT application will take 2 months or more. something to do with lamination paper shortage.

well I made one for myself last month. I got it on 7th day. it was urgent btw

the 10-year validity would be great. wonder if you get 10 years on a non MR passport.

I had only 16 months validity in my previous passport. So basically by the rules if you have more than 6 months in your passport then you are not eligible for a new passport.
So I went there and talk to an agent standing outside the office. He took me inside and talked to a person there who was working inside the office. He asked me to fill his pocket with 1500 rupees and then they will make it . So I deposited 5000 rupees in the bank for urgent application. And deposited 1500 in his pocket.
After that they took my photo and told me that if in the interview the officer asks why u r making a new passport then you should tell him that for the purpose of photo amendment. And after that on the 7th day I got a new one with 10 years validity.
So bro just tell them that you want to change the photo.

i m happy atleast in passport thing india good.i got my pp in just 8 days in normal way by giving 1100rs application fee and 500rs to policya
i m sure punjab police will be same there.
and i did not seen any govt. office in india like PP sava kender.
