Hi Experts - I am planning to apply under CEC class for myself only for now , ( Not for my family ) , I will apply for them later if my case got approved.
However my family is with me in canada as I am on work permit.

My questions -

1. While filling the Genric application forms for question 11 for dependent ( Will accompany principal applicant to canada ) , I put YES........Is that ok ?
2. I also filled form Schedule A / background - IMM5669 for Wife Also and signed by her ? Is that required ?
3. I also filled Additional Family Information , IMM5406 for my wife also and she signed , Is that required ?
4. I attached our marriege certificate and son's birth certificate , Is this fine ?
5. I am just putting my 6 photos not for my wife and son , Is that OK ?

Please guide me experts.......

Thanks
R

Why would you only apply for yourself now if your family is already in Canada? This doesn't make sense. You are creating more work for yourself if you do this. Even if you only apply for yourself now, your wife and your son will still have to take the medical and pass the security/background check before your visa can be approved.

If you still only want to apply for yourself right now - then for question #1, if you don't want to include your family in the application, you should say "no" since your family will not be accompanying you to Canada (the visa is only being issued to you).

This is not an option. You either include them now, or exclude them forever (you will never be able to sponsor them.

I suggest you accept the fact that you must apply with your family (spouse and dependent children).

We have already answered your question. Your wife and child MUST be included in the application. You have no choice. You can indicate that your wife and son are non-accompanying (meaning that they will not be issued visas and will not travel to Canada with you). However they must both still pass the medical and your wife must also pass the security/background check for you to be issued a visa.

If you do not mention your wife and son in your application then two things will happen: (1) you will never be able to sponsor them; (2) if CIC finds out that you left your wife and child off the application there is a very good chance your own PR status will be revoked for misrepresentation (lying on your application).

wait until your wife's documents are ready and then apply. you can't exclude them from your application.
