Has anybody had any experience applying for a visa to visit Canada on a date sooner than the processing time has finished? Eg. applying to visit in 5 days when the processing time is 8 days. How did it go? Did they stick to the regular processing time or did they process it faster?

Normally you are advised to allot at least 1-2 months for TRV application processing before your travel date. For the reason that sometimes the processing time is not followed due to the influx of applications and there are cases where in there is no available slots for taking of Biometrics on the Visa Application Center. Processing of TRV does not start unless your biometrics is received.
