I just recently moved to Canada through intracompany transfer. I got my work permit once I crossed the border.

Can I apply for PR right away as I have an offer letter or wait until i finish one year and then apply for PR.

You can certainly apply now. However you cannot claim points for having a job offer until you have worked for a full year in Canada.

Hey @scylla just to clarify my understanding - if @parthvi had a job based on an approved LMIA and closed work permit, they would get the points right now, correct?

But since they're on an ICT transfer, which is LMIA exempt, wouldn't they get they points if they've already been working for their employer for one year?

Yes,

Same is true of not only ICTs but any other closed work permit (i.e. employer is named in the work permit) that is LMIA exempt.

So if I've worked for my employer in the UK for three years, and then do an ICT to the Canadian office, I can get the points as soon as I have the job offer?

No. You need to work in Canada for a full year on the ICT work permit first. The year of work needs to be in Canada.
