Applying from Vienna, Austria (there for a job for 1.5 years) possible?

Hey,

I was hoping if anyone could guide me that can I apply for immigration to Canada for the skilled worker catagory from Vienna, Austria as I will be working there for 1.5 years after 5 months or will I have to apply from my home country in Asia?

The processing time for Vienna are: 16 months for 70% of cases.

If I can apply, then will there be any special requirements?

Well one can apply from any other country only when he has been legally admitted to that country for one year.And attorney Campbell Cohen suggested me tht one can apply from the other country if he has got a valid visa/work permit tht enable him to stay in tht country for one year,even b4 completing one year so in tht case if u ve a valid visa / work permit tht enable u to stay for one year , u can apply from here even b4 completing one year.i ll also recommend u do it soon as possible as u ve mentioned u ve a 1.5 yr contrct n vienna office takes around 16 months to process so its better to apply ASP in order to get Prship b4 expiry of ur contract.I hope PMM n other senior members ll be able to throw more lite on this matter.
