I am in a very bad situation. Any help and directions is greatly appreciated.
I am currently in US and I have been in the US on my L1 VISA for the past 5 Years. I will be reaching my 5 years continuous stay in US (without a break of an year) by May 10, 2013. (Even though i have to leave US, I have the VISA till Sep 2013, but i cant stay beyond May 10 and otherwise i will be considered as illegal stay)
Currently my company is planning to apply my CANADA VISA.I have to leave to India well before May 10 (Planning to leave by last week of April).
Recently they have started accepting application forms through online.
Some of my questions are:
1. Can i apply online from US?
2. In the form IMM1295E.pdf, there are few questions, can someone help what should i enter for these fields:
Current Country of Residence? (Can i mention as India, as if i am applying from India; What should be the From and To dates, if i am leaving US by end of April)
Previous Countries of Residence? (Can i mention as US; What should be the From and To dates, if i am leaving US by end of April)
Country where applying?
Due to the project reasons and demands i am trying to find the best possible way to get the CANADA visa ASAP.
I am trying to save the time by applying the VISA from US, pretending as if i am applying from INDIA. Is this option possible and feasible?
Can someone provide their valuable inputs. My company is very new to this CANADA VISA processing and i am not getting any help from them.
