hello! i have a relative who's appying for work permit from philippines. He is separated from his wife for a very long time but they were not able to make the separation legal because of the cost of annulment of marriage. i just want to ask what status he should put on the application? separated or married? Thank you.

separated

Thank you. but is it still necessary to put his spouse's details? can he just leave it blank as he even doesn't remember her birthday and her whereabouts? we really appreciate if you could give some clarification.

should be Married as you are not legally separated. My sister applied recently but declared still Married. Her divorce is in-progress and filed here in BC.
