Applying for Work Permit After BOC

Did anyone apply for Work permit separately after submitting for refugee claim? I did click on the option to apply for work permit in the basis of claim form but I heard some people have applied again online for the work permit and they have received their work permit without settling their refugee claim yet. Did anyone have done this? And is it really possible? I thought I have to wait until after the eligibility interview and then IRCC will send me my work permit, I'm so confused.

I have applied last week you need to have Refugee Claimant Document to apply WP

Thanks, I will have to wait then, it is been 6 months after submitting BOC and nothing from IRCC.

I know Someone got WP after exactly one year from submitting BOC

BOC submitted two week before and now information from IRCC no acknowledgment letter is it normal

Yes it is normal, I got it after one month.

I know Someone got WP after exactly one year from submitting BOC

Did he/she did eligibility interview or hearing? Or got the WP without these?
