Applying for Visitor Visa while PR application is in progress

Hi,

I have applied for my PR in March (BGC in progress). Can I apply for a visitors visa to visit Canada in October and also attend my cousin's graduation in November? Will this in any way affect my PR application?

Also, anyone who has applied for a visitors visa how long does it take?

I did it. Got PPR two weeks after I got my TRV so there's obviously no effect on the PR app.

You can also send your passport to CPC Ottawa if you get PPR while there and flagpole.

Check the CIC processing times for your VO. You haven't specified where you are.

No interviews for TRV.

Check here for the US times, it was 14 days when I last checked, that might be the case more or less.

I'm in a similar situation...i want to start my PR application in January but I would like to visit Canada sometime in February...is it advisable I apply for a tourist visa now or after I've started my PR application?
