Hi friends, I will really appreciate it if you could help me with this. My study permit and the sticker on my Passport is expiring within a week. I applied for PGWP back in March and I know that it's going to take a few months. In the meantime, my mother is very sick in India (she had covid last year and still having complications, I have medical proof) and I need to visit her urgently within the next couple of weeks. I was wondering if I can apply for a Canadian visitor visa from within Canada and go to India. IRCC website says it's a really fast process, like 11 days. However, it is not clear to me if I CAN apply for a visitor visa while my PGWP is pending and my visa sticker has expired.
