I am landed , married and have a son and a step son. i am also admitted to study a post graduate course starting in jan but i and my wife who is canadian citizen are planning road trip to canada. what are my chances bearing in mind that i have been denied twice US visa in my home country while i was single because i do not have strong enough ties and i had earlier in 2010 won a visa lottery to the US but didnt go. my wife is an lpn and i just want to know if i should put her as sponsor for our trip and what are the visa chances?

I would say that it depends on your country of origin and how recent the two US visa refusals are.

Given the past refusals, I’d suggest to wait at least 6 more months and after starting the post-graduate course. I still read about US visa refusals for recently landed PRs.
