Hello to all!
I am in an impossibly difficult situation (or atleast that’s what I think). I have a diploma already from a Canadian institution and currently I am on PGWP, due to expire next month (Jul/25). I have decided to go back to school and take admission in a bachelors program, infact I am in talks with a college and I could start as early as this fall session (Sep/25).
My major concern is my passport, which is due to expire Nov/25. Could my study permit application be rejected because of my passport? I did hire a consultant and he suggests we go through with the study permit application before I renew my passport.
Although I trust him, I have read that study permit refusals are on an all time high.
Could anyone please guide me through this, has anyone ever been in a similar situation?
Could I write a letter of explanation for my permit application, that I recognize the fact that my passport is expiring soon and that I will renew it as soon as I get my student visa (with ofc the extension for my permit).
Please help!
Thank you
