Hi,

I am an Indian national and have completed PG Diploma in Business management in UK, later applied for another course through a A rated college and got visa in October. Now I have received a letter from UKBA stating that the license has been revoked for the college and I need to extend my visa by applying for another course.

I would like to apply for a student visa to canada, should I have to go back to India for applying student visa to canada or Can I apply from UK itself.

Please give me some guidance with the required documents.

Thanks in advance.

I studied in UK for 18 months and then worked on my PSW for 2 years. I came back to India and then applied for Canadian visa. You should go back to India and apply from there because your legal status in UK is not that strong. Even if you were on a work permit there for 2-3 years, you could've taken a chance but not in your situation. It's much better and simpler if you apply from India because that also demonstrates your strong ties with India and willingness to return to home country and no intentions to live abroad illegally. It will be a very major positive point for your Canadian visa because all they're concerned about is whether this applicant is an illegal migration risk. Good Luck.
