Hi!

My husband and I live in Montreal and plan to submit our application soon. However, we plan to move to Toronto in a year or so for his work. I see on the forms it asks if we're planning to live in Quebec - we are for now but not forever! Is it still worth applying as residents of Quebec, or not? I'm also concerned as I don't speak French and wonder if this will affect my ability to get approval through QC.

Thanks!

If you were moving out of Quebec a lot sooner and could show solid proof of that, you would be able to skip the Quebec process but not if it's a year away. Your French ability is irrelevant to the spousal sponsorship process.

Thanks! Will the fact that I can't speak French affect my ability to get an OWP related to the sponsorship while its being processed if I am going to be working in QC?

No. It's a federal process that has nothing to do with ability in either official language.
